Edition 03 2009

Welcome to the third edition of 2009 of the Canadian Scrappers Blog Carnival.

I'm delighted to have visits from one side of the country to the other this time around. Let's get started!

Deanne, in Newfoundland, excitedly shouts "Our first ever Sisterhood of Scrap DT Call!" as she invites us to check it out.

Tonya, in Prince Edward Island, has been Scrapping Older Pics with a New Title and shares a couple of beautiful digis she made recently.

Deanna, in Ontario, invites us to check out Loonie Stampers Challenge #22 and reminds us to check out the Loonie Stampers Challenge every Friday.

Sue, in Ontario, invites us to check out the Let's Cre8: Valentine Pillow Boxes tutorial. These are really neat!

A new comer to the carnival, Beverly, in Ontario, tells us how she used her new cookie cutter to make a Cookie Cutter Card: Fleur-de-lis.

Cindy, in Manitoba, shares some good news as she invites us to check out her new website.

Nicole, in Manitoba, shares a review of the Slice as she says "Merry Xmas to Me!"

Lois, in British Columbia, says It's Been A While as she explains she's been busy and shows us a project she made using some Basic Grey and 7 Gypsies.

Lois also says I'm Changing my Blog as she invites us to check out her latest layout on her other blog.

And that's the end of our visits this week. Thanks to those of you that invited us to visit and thanks to those of you that came along for the trip.

While we did have visits from one side of the country to the other, we're still missing some provinces in between this week. Please help spread the word about the carnival. Post about it in your blog and on message boards and email lists you are on. Tell your friends about it. Let's all do our part to make this carnival grow and give a good representation of scrappers across Canada.

If all goes well, the next edition of the carnival will be posted Monday, January 26th, but the deadline for submissions is Friday, January 23rd. This is because I like to have Saturday to but the finishing touches on the carnival and then be able to relax on Sunday before posting the carnival on Monday. Hopefully I will hear from you all, and all your friends too, before the deadline. :)

Edition 02 2009

Welcome to the second 2009 edition of the Canadian Scrappers Blog Carnival! We only recieved three invitations to visit this week, so it's a short trip, but there are great visits. Let's get started!

Sylvia, from Scrapbooking Oasis in Ontario, wishes everyone a Happy New Year! as she tells about some new products, changes, and plans to attend two crops in Chatham, Ontario, in February.

A newcomer to the blog, Andrea, in Ontario, shows us some really cute cards she created using Laurie Furnell's newest digital graphics set "Warm Winter Wishes".

Chris, in Alberta, shows us a couple of cute Spinner Cards she recently made, and points to tutorials on how to make them.

That's the end of the visits this week. Thanks, Sylvia, Andrea, and Chris for inviting us to visit. Thanks to those of you that came along for the trip.

I wish this had been a fuller trip but that is only possible if people submit invitations to visit. I love it when we have full trips with stops in all the provinces, but I have had to accept the fact that I just don't have the time to search out the posts to make it possible, so it's important to get the word out that people need to submit. I'd love to have people submitting invitations every week.

To try to encourage more participation, I have decided to offer up a small participation prize each month. Every time someone submits an invitation to visit their name will be put in to be drawn for a prize. At the end of the month I will send a small envelope of a prize to the person drawn.

The next edition will be posted Monday, January 19, but the deadline for submissions is Saturday, January 17th. Please help spread the word and hopefully I will be overrun with submissions. :)

Edition 01 2009

Welcome to the first 2009 edition of the Canadian Scrappers Blog Carnival! Sorry I am late in posting this. I'm still having computer troubles and had so many frustrations trying to get it ready to post yesterday that I finally gave up. Yesterday I also found out that, thanks to my mom and sister, a new laptop is on the way to me so I won't have to worry about those same troubles next week.

First off I want to give a big thank you to Kristine. Kristine emailed me last week and asked if she could decorate the blog and I gave her free reign. I absolutely love what she did! Thanks so much, Kristine.

Now, let's get busy and start our trip across Canada visiting scrappers along the way.

Deanne, in Newfoundland, invites us to check out the her DT Call for March-August(closes Feb 10th) on her sketch blog.

On her Christmas Cards All Year Round blog Deanne asks "Are you Ready??? January Card Challenge".

Ali, in Nova Scotia, shares with us her Glitter-y Trees (and a Holiday Shaker Box) all about the 2 trees she had in 2006, for Christmas.

Kristine, at Creative Scrappers in New Brunswick, tells us about their search for a February Guest Designer. Check out the requirements and enter for a chance before January 15th.

Kristine also invites us to check out her personal blog for information about a Scrappers Journal/Class she is offering online January 13th.

Ali tells us to be sure to check out "Happy New Year" post on the Creatively Yours blog from New Brunswick for a couple of great sketches to inspire you.

A new comer to the carnival, Amy, in Ontario, loves challenge blogs and she shares with us a "Happy New Year 2009" card she made inspired by a couple of challenges.

Jennifer, in Ontario, invites us to check out Week 1 365. She's taken on a 365 photo challenge this year.

Sue, in Ontario, invites us to check out the Fringed Paper Flowers tutorial by Jessi Lute featured on the Just Cre8 blog.

Denise, in Manitoba, invites us to check out the Scrapping Out Loud Challenge blog "A New Year, a New Look, and a New Team". Sure looks like they are gearing up for a great year!

Chris, in Alberta, shows us a beautiful Star Album she recently made for a friend.

Kali, in Alberta , shares that she Finally Finished a Christmas project on Christmas Eve. It is simply gorgeous!

Ali reminds us to be sure to check out the Scrappin’ Green~Tips for Eco-Friendly Memory Keeping: 21st Edition on the Scrapbooker's Club House blog from Alberta. It's a great scrappy-budget-savvy article submission from Michelle Vekved, an artist and Design Team Member in the SBCH Community.

Lois, in British Columbia, tells us "I've been busy" as she shows us a very thoughtful project she's created.

Melissa, in British Columbia, declares "A New Year, a New Layout" as she shows us a snowangel layout.

That's the end of our visits this trip. Thank you to all that sent in invitations to visit. I hope you will mention on your blog that you have been featured and that you will encourage others to submit in the future. I also hope to hear from you again. Thank you also to those of you that didn't submit but did come along for the trip. I hope you, also, share about the Canadian Scrappers Blog carnival on your blog, if you have one, and I hope that you submit soon.

The next edition will hopefully be posted on Monday, January 12. The deadline for submissions, however, is Saturday, January 10. I hope to hear from all of you.

Happy Scrapping!

Happy 2009!

It's been a while since I updated. Sorry for disappearing but I had computer issues that are still not all settled, but I'm tired of waiting for it all to be settled and feel the need to start again. I will be attempting to post a new carnival next week, so please send in your submissions ASAP and help spread the word.
