Welcome to the 19th edition of the Canadian Scrapper's Blog Carnival! I am so excited about this edition! It is our first complete cross Canada tour with stops in each of the 10 provinces! Hopefully it's the first of many, if not all, complete tours. I have to say, though, now that we've conquered all 10 provinces I'm starting to think about the three territories and if there may be scrappin' bloggers there. If you know of any, please let me know. Anyway, on to our trip!
Our first stop is in the beautiful province of Newfoundland and Labrador where we'll drop in to visit with Suzy as she shows us a gorgeous card Of Mice and Lace that she made for a House Mouse and Friends Challenge.
Next we're off to Nova Scotia to visit with Ali as she shows us some Cards and a "Scrappy Tip". I'm thinking she's the most organized scrapper I know.
Up next is our long awaited stop in the beautiful province of Prince Edward Island where we'll stop in to visit with Tonya as she shows us some ABC Cards she created for her 3 year old daughter to help her recognize her alphabet. I'm double excited to find Tonya because not only is she in Prince Edward Island but she's a digi scrapper and I've been wanting to find more digi scrappers to highlight.
After that we're off to New Brunswick where we'll stop in at Noella's Creatively Yours, where Ali tells us "Noella is away right now, but we have been regularly enjoying new sketches that she left for us, for the time period during which she was away on vacation! Check out A Tempting Tuesday Treat! to see how much we are enjoying these sketches."
Next we're off to Quebec to visit with Lisanne as she tells us about Dévoilement DT **Ma petite robe rouge** . I just love the layout she shows us!
After that we're off to Ontario for a first time visit with Jackie as she shows us some gorgeous layouts she created for a recent Inspiration Crop.
After that we'll pop in for a visit with Vanessa in Manitoba as she gives us a big {{{grin}}} and shows a really fun layout. It looks like an 8 1/2 x 11 but I'm not sure if it is or not. I love how bright and fun it is.
Next we'll stop in with Connie in Saskatchewan as she shows us a gorgeous card she made for Blogger's Challenge #60 "Birthday Theme".
After that we'll stop in at Scrapbooker's Club House in Alberta to check out Scrappin Green:Tips for Eco-Friendly Memory Keeping ~ 13th Edition, an article called "Shoppin' Green: Croppin' Green!" Ali says, "Folks are welcome to check out the SBCH blog for news, scrappy recycling tips, spotlights, and the latest contests and challenges at the Club house!"
Our last stop is to visit with Lois in British Columbia as she shows us where she scraps and declares this is My Space.
And that brings us to the end of this cross Canada tour visiting with scrappers along the way. Thanks you for joining us, and don't forget to take a moment to comment and thank the hosts that were so gracious to allow us to visit.
If you are a scrappin' blogger living in Canada and you haven't invited us to visit with you yet, what's stopping you?!? We'd love to drop in for a visit. If you've invited us to visit before and we haven't been back for a while, we'd love to come visit again, just send another invitation.
If all goes well the next edtion of the Canadian Scrapper's Blog Carnival will be posted next Thursday, September 4. Please send your invitation to visit in as soon as possible before then, as the earlier I get them the better it is for me in putting it all together. Hope to hear from many, if not all, of you before then!

Awards
A nice while ago Heidi was nice enough to give an award to this blog, and this week Lois also gave the blog an award. I was really struggling with what to do with these awards, but I've finally made a decision. I am posting the awards in the side bar of the blog (scroll down to the bottom to see them). This blog would not be what it is without each and every one of you participants so I consider these awards to be yours, not mine, so if you have been a participant in the carnival consider yourself awarded and grab the award to put on your blog. Check the blogs of the girls that awarded them for other details.
18th Edition!
Hi! Welcome to the 18th edition of the Canadian Scrapper's Blog Carnival!
Did you catch the slight name change this time? Back in April I started this blog with the title "Canadian Scrapbookers Blog Carnival". I picked the title because it expressed what the blog was to be - a blog carnival for Canadian Scrapbookers. It never clicked with me that there was a magazine with a very similar name and that people could mistakenly come to the conclusion that the two are connected, but that's what happened this past week on a message board I frequent. As soon as I realized it I emailed the owners of the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine and we brainstormed what to do about it. We finally agreed that making the slight change in the blog name would help eliminate the confusion, thus the slight change in the blog title. It is no longer "Canadian Scrapbookers Blog Carnival" but it is the "Canadian Scrapper's Blog Carnival". I often referred to it with that name anyway and when I went to fix my profile on the boards I frequent to reflect the change I discovered that I had already called it the Canadian Scrappers Blog Carnival in my profiles on the boards. I thought that was pretty funny.
Anyway...on to our weekly cross country trip visiting with scrappers along the way!
We're going to start this trip in Bristish Columbia as we pop in to visit with Melissa, who's been away on holidays but declares "I'm back.." as she shows us a couple of layouts she did. I love the journaling on the "I Pod at 11" layout. Great idea for an annual layout!
Before we leave British Columbia, we'll drop in to EllaBella Designs where we'll learn about their Upcoming Workshops for people in the local area. Unfortunately the first one, the Beach Canvas Bag Mini Album, happened last night so you missed it but there's still time to register for the others. Man, that Beach Canvas Bag Mini Album looks cool!
Next we're off to Alberta for a first time visit at the Canadian Scrapbooker magazine's head office. Katharina tells us "Canadian Scrapbooker magazine is Canada’s first and only scrapbooking magazine dedicated to Canadians! Canadian Scrapbooker Inc. is based in Alberta and has a talented team of designers and contributors from all across Canada. The magazine’s reach goes far beyond one province, as it reflects and reports on current scrapbooking trends from around the world. Canadian Scrapbooker spotlights manufacturers, stores, and scrapbookers from coast to coast. Look to this upbeat quarterly magazine for inspiration, trend-setting techniques and ideas, step-by-step guides for beginner and advanced scrapbookers and card-makers and a showcase of amazing Canadian talent. Take a look inside the Canadian scrapbooking industry through the “Made in Canada” feature. Meet scrapbookers from across Canada featured in “Passport to Creativity.” Enjoy a little giggle as “The Lighter Side” makes light of this amazing hobby. You can count on the Canadian Scrapbooker to provide you with an array of amazing Canadian talent that will kick start your creativity!
NEW this fall, Canadian Scrapbooker is proud to present the first of five volumes of Canadian Scrapbooker Basics (“CSB”), a magazine that will take you on a scrapbooking journey starting right from the beginning. With the same paper weight and binding as their current magazine, Canadian Scrapbooker, it is certain that Canadian Scrapbooker Basics will become a collected and cherished volume set." The latest edition of the magazine is set to arrive in stores September 1st but I've already heard talks about how great it is on the scrapping boards I visit.
While we're in Alberta we'll also drop in on Kali as she tells us it is A Little Quieter this Weekend and she shows us a really neat circle album she made.
Before we leave Alberta we'll pop over to Scrapbooker's Club House Design to check out Scrappin' Green ~ Tips for Eco-Friendly Memory Keeping. Ali tells us "Design Team Member Lynn Marsh has written an excellent article about using items that have been repurposed as scrappy-supplies... WOW: amazing things we learn from one another, eh? **GRIN!**"
After that we'll skip over to Saskatchewan for a first time visit with Leica as she tells us to Beware long post, lot's of pics & layouts and proceeds to show us gorgeous pictures and layout, and also shares some exciting news! Be sure to check it out.
Before we leave Saskatchewan we'll pop in for another first time visit with Corinne as she show us More layouts... that she's completed recently.
Next we're off to Manitoba where our first stop is to visit with Denise as she shows us a gorgeous layout she made for her son to remind him of One Little Phrase. I love the journaling on this layout. Such a great idea to do an end of summer layout like this!
Before we leave Manitoba we'll check out Scrapping out LOUD's Challenge #8 - Playing card challenge. I think it will inspire some great layouts!
Our next stop is in Ontario where we'll check out Creative Crafts and Stickers - Tip Tuesday, a great faux sewing tip from Jackie.
Next we're off to Quebec for a first time visit with Sylvie as she tells us about My visit at "The Scrapping Bug" and shows us a layout she made while there.
Our next stop is in New Brunswick at "Creatively Yours: Sketches by Noella" where Ali tells us "On Tuesday, members of our fabulous Creatively Yours Design Team made the world a happier, more colourful place with creations that will knock your sox off! WOW! Here are 3 layouts from our team, based on Sketch #21 - 12 x 12 created by Noella Arsenault, ENJOY! PS: Noella did a sample layout too! well worth a peek!"
After that we're off to Nova Scotia to visit with Ali at her place where she shows us a layout creation of her son Noah, a Happy Soul, and says "it is doodled with a white Uniball Signo gel pen. (I looooove to doodle!). I also included 3 Scrappy Tips in this blog post & there are several others in the posts prior to this one. Enjoy! [Thanks for popping by, I am serving King Cole tea and homemade gingersnaps this afternoon! Want the recipe? LOL]"
Unfortunately we still don't have any places to visit in Prince Edward Island but I am hopeful that we may in the near future. We really hate skipping over this beautiful province so if you're from there you need to make sure that stops. :)
Our last stop is in Newfoundland and Labrador where we'll check out the Sisterhood of Scrap Challenge Monday - August 18. The deadline is not until August 24 so there's still time to participate.
And that's the end of this trip across Canada visiting with Scrappers along the way. Thank you to those of you that allowed us to visit. If you want us to drop by and visit with you, be sure to check out the submission guidelines in the sidebar and send an email to the carnival address. We'd love to have more scrappers to visit.
If all goes well the next edition of the carnival will be posted August 28, 2008. Hope to hear from all of you before then.

Welcome to the 17th edition of the Canadian Scrapper's Blog Carnival. Submissions were slow coming in, and there weren't a lot, but I did manage to put together a pretty full trip just the same.

16th Edition!
Welcome to the 16th edition of the Canadian Scrapbookers Blog Carnival. I am so excited about this trip, because it is a fairly full one! Let's get started.
We'll start this trip in British Columbia by popping in to visit with Lois as she shows us an example of What To Do With a Paint Tin.
Before we leave British Columbia we'll pop in for a first time visit at Clipper Street Scrapbook Company, where we discover that they have stores in Coquitlam. Langley, and Richmond, as well as an online shop and community. This week they posted on their blog about their Ali-cadabra Contest, which offers participants a chance to win a signed copy of Ali Edward's New Book - Sharing Your Story! Also, while we're visiting Cory invites us to check out the YouTube ClipperStreet Online - Thinking of You Card which shows how to make a simple, but beautiful card.
Next we're off to the province of Alberta where our first stop is to visit with Kali as she says, "Happy Birthday Neal!", and then she shows us some really neat wall words she made for her bathroom with her cricut and also a chore chart she made with Cosmo Criket papers.
Before we leave Alberta we'll pop into Scrapbooker's Club House where they invite us all to "Join us for the SBCH "Olymipcations Event!". This sounds like a fun two weeks of challenges starting Friday August 8th.
Next we're off to Saskatchewan to visit with Sheryl as she shows us a gift bag she made as part of Stephanie's Lovebug Class.
After that we head over to Manitoba where Scrapping Out LOUD is celebrating their one month birthday and they have posted Challenge #6 - Button Up, Baby!
Our next stop is in Ontario where we have a first time visit with Renee as she shares ideas and samples for Scrapbooking your (ABC) family heirlooms.
Before we leave Ontario we'll stop for a first time visit with Sheri and Judy at In a Pinch Designs as they say, "We would like to introduce you to In A Pinch Designs - a kit company with a twist. All of our kits are PRE-CUT and the design is taken care of. All you need to do is follow the careful directions and you will have a page completed In A Pinch! We have scrapbooking kits and altered items kits. We also offer services to retailers and these kits are perfect for teaching a class. Your cutting is completed for you and all that you will need to do is slot that class time into your schedule. We look forward to hearing from you. We are thrilled to bring you In A Pinch Designs with the hope to provide inspiration through design, technique and colour."
After that we're off to Quebec where Nathalie shares a layout she made as part of a scraplift chain.
Our next stop is in New Brunswick at Creative Scrappers where they introduce their guest designers and show us Sketch #11, which you have until August 10th to use to be a part of Scrappy Donna's Sketch Contest.
Before we leave New Brunswick we'll stop by Creatively Yours: Sketches by Noella to check out Sketch #17 - 12" x 12", as the new PR person, Ali, says "Here are the first interpretations of sketches created by Noella & sent out to her Design Team this week! Please feel free to share your interpretations of the sketches by posting a link to your creation(s) in the "Comments" section of the blog. We'd LOVE to see them! Enjoy and thanks for coming by to visit, please come back often."
Then we're off to Nova Scotia where we'll visit with Ali as she shows us her New Creations and explains, "On the layout of our pony, Oakley, I have used an applique of a design I trimmed from a vintage blouse as a scrappy embellie. The card below it was made for a friend we were going to visit, when I realized that it was her birthday!! I whipped this card up very quickly and she LOVED it. Made my day. The gemstone butterflies came from Dollarama! So pretty and yet inexpensive. Enjoy, and come again to enjoy Nova Scotia's hospitality and a cup of King Cole tea with me anytime!"
After that we're off to Newfoundland and Labrador for a first time visit with Suzy as she shares great tips for Taking Great Photos of Your Work: A Photography Tutor.
Our last stop for this trip is to check out Happy Scrappers, "The Only Newfoundland Online Scrapbooking Store". This is a brand new venture and I'm excited to watch it grow.
And that brings us to the end of this edition of the Canadian Scrapbookers Blog Carnival. Don't forget to take the time to leave a comment and let the different hosts know that you enjoyed the visit to their place.
I think it was so much fun to have visits in all but one of the provinces this time, and I'm hoping it will be that way from now on. Well, I hope we also get visits to Prince Edward Island soon so that we can stop in each province. :)
If you participated in the carnival in the past you should have received an email from me this week. In an attempt to ensure that each edition has as many visits as possible, I have asked permission of past participants to visit their place whenever we like, without waiting for an invitation. It is still my preference to have people send me invitations to visit each week, because that way I don't have to go looking for them, but in the event that I don't have as many invitations as I would like for an edition I would like to have this as a back-up plan. I have received permission from many, but I'm still waiting to hear from others. If you are a past participant and you didn't receive an email from me, please let me know your thoughts on it.
If you haven't yet participated in the carnival, we would love to add you to our list of places to visit. Simply send an email to the carnival address - canadianscrapbookerscarnival@gmail.com
- inviting us for a first visit and you will then be added to the list. Be sure to include your blog address and the province you reside in.
One other thing, as I mentioned a while ago, for now I have decided to handle the English/French translations issue by placing the language conversion button in the side bar of this blog. I would like to suggest that each of you consider doing the same. I have noticed that some of you have done so and I thank you for that. It is a small way that we can help bring Canadian scrappers together.
If all goes well the next edition of the Carnival will be posted August 14. Be sure to send in your submissions before that time. If you haven't invited us to visit yet, we sure would love to have an invitation, and if you have invited us before, we'd love to come visit again.
Hope to hear from a bunch of you soon!

Cruisin' with Scrapbook & Cards Today Contest
Check out the Scrapbook and Cards Today blinkie in the side bar. Go pick one up for yourself on the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog and read all about the contest they have going on for the month of August. If it should so happen that the blinkie on this blog brings in a prize, I will have a draw amongst bloggers that have participated in the carnival and send the prize to the lucky winner of the draw. :)

Seem to be having trouble
It appears that there is some trouble with blogger. Suddenly sites with sitemeter on them can not be viewed in internet explorer. To alleviate the problem I have removed sitemeter from the blog, at least for the present time.
