Call for 11th Edition - due July 2nd

If all goes well the 11th edition of the Canadian Scrapbookers Blog Carnival will be posted Thursday, July 3rd, with the deadline for submissions being Wednesday, July 2nd.

Yesterday I was reminded of the fact that June is often considered wedding month. We went out with friends to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary and we bumped into 2 other couples that were also celebrating their anniversary, and in talking they listed a bunch of other people with anniversaries around the same time. So.... Have you created any wedding or anniversary layouts, cards, or projects, you'd like to share?

As always, this topic is merely a suggestion, not a restriction.

Send in your submissions as soon as possible so that you don't forget about it. I look forward to reading the submissions. Be sure to read the submission guidelines in the sidebar.

Please continue to help spread the word about the carnival. Add a carnival widget or blinkie to your blog. Post about the carnival in your scrapbooking forums and email groups. Tell all your friends.

Happy scrapping!

10th edition!

Welcome to the 10th edition of the Canadian Scrapbookers Blog Carnival!

Unfortunately we didn't get any invitations from British Columbia this time around so we'll start this trip in the next province.

Our first stop is in Alberta, where Ali has invited use to drop in to Scrapbooker's Club House for a visit. Just yesterday they had a questions and answer chat with Canadian scrapbook artist and teacher, Carolyn Peeler and Ali points out that "The Q&A Chat format at SBCH allows the interview to remain conveniently in place on our Forum for you to read, enjoy and refer back to at your convenience." So be sure to check it out.

Next we travel to Saskatchewan where we have two invitations to visit.

This is a our first visit with Jodi Lynn and she shows us a beautiful altered journal she made for a teacher's gift as she reminds us Summer's upon us. In her invitation to visit she said "My son and daughter had the most amazing teachers this year. I know that they work extra hard and I have no idea how they can accomplish so much through out the year. I made each of them a journal to show my appreciation for their hard work."

Next we'll drop in with Sheryl as explains a neat technique she used on the journaling note of the layout she completed for a Round 4 Challenge in a game/contest she's participating in.

Moving into Manitoba Denise has invited us to check out the new challenge blog, Scrapping out loud! that she, and her friends Jessica and Melissa, just started. Challenges will be posted every Tuesday, with the first challenge being posted July 1st. Every one that completes a challenge and leaves a comment with a link to their creation will have a chance to win a monthly prize/RAK.

Moving into Ontario, we'll take advantage of an invitation from Sylvia and make a first time stop in at Scrapbooking Oasis. Sylvia tells us about their two blogs, one which updates on new products and sales, while the second one is their designer blog. They offer freelance for those interested in designing. Check out the details on their blog.

No invitations to visit in Quebec, New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island this time around so we'll quickly skip over thse provinces.

In Nova Scotia we'll stop in for a first time visit with Lisa. She tell us she used a 2 Sketches 4 You sketch to create a really neat graduation card in 2S4U.

Our last stop is in Newfoundland to visit with Deanne as she exclaims, "Oh my, I've gone over the 20, 000 mark!!! RAK!!!" and shares some of her recent creations. For a chance at her celebrations RAK all you have to do is find inspiration on her blog and leave a comment with a link to your creation before June 30th.

And that's the end of this week's trip across our country as we visited with scrappers along the way. Thank you to each of you for the invitations to visit. I hope you will invite us again. Thanks also to each of you that came along for the trip. Make sure you take a moment to let our hosts know that you appreciated the invitation to visit with them by leaving a comment on their blogs.

Please continue to help spread the word about the carnival. Add a carnival widget or blinkie to your blog. Post about the carnival in your scrapbooking forums and email groups. Tell all your friends, especially your friends that are in Quebec or Prince Edward Island, as we've yet to visit in either of those provinces.

9th Edition

Welcome to the 9th edition of the Canadian Scrapbookers Blog Carnival!

We're going to start this trip in British Columbia, where we have two invitations to visit.

First we'll drop in on Izzy as she shows us a neat slide show of lots of different Mini Albums she's made in the past.

After that we'll pop in to visit Lois as she asks us "Ever Wonder What to Do With... empty ribbon rolls" and shows us a neat mini album she made with one.

No invitations to visit in Alberta or Saskatchewan this time around so we'll skip right over them. Hopefully we'll get some inviations to visit next time so that we won't have so far to travel without stopping. :)

Next up we have two new invitations to visit in Manitoba.

As we visit with Allison, she invites us to check out two of her online businesses Eyelet Canada and Pizza Box Kits. She tells us that Eyelet Canada "started when I had to go to the US for every different brads and eyelet I wanted. I decided to start my own online business, and I now feature lots of fun stuff from many different manufacturers all over the world. My 16 year old daughter now fills the orders as a part time job. We offer free shipping and taxes included in our prices, which keeps people coming back." Later she started Pizza Box Kits "to take the brads and eyelets further- we add all kinds of little goodies to our kits to make them extra yummy. FREE shipping as well!" Sounds like they are worth checking out.

After that we'll drop in on Nicole as she says "Join Us!!" and tells us about an online crop that members of Love is in the Details have organized for June 20 & 21.

Next we're off to Ontario, where we also have two invitations to visit.

First we'll drop in on Jennifer as she says "Here is an oldie...and a RAK" and she shares a mini album card she made for her hubby last year. She can't remember the name of the paper line she used and is offering a RAK to the first person that identifies it.

Next up is our first time invitation to visit with Kristine as she invites us to "A Quick Share as I Prepare a Donation Basket". It's a neat idea!

Unfortunately there are still no invitatons to visit in Quebec. I know there are lots of scrappers in Quebec and I sure would love to have them join the carnival. Hopefully someday. :)

Our next stop is to visit with Noella in New Brunswick as she says thanks for visiting last time and shares Card Sketch #3 - AND CONTEST!!. Use her sketch and rules to design a card and post it before the June 27th deadline and you could win a prize.

No invitations to visit in Nova Scotia this time and still no invitations to visit in Prince Edward Island yet. Hopefully we'll have invitations from both places next time around.

Our last stop is with Deanne in Newfoundland as she shares her June 15th Sketches and DT creations. If you participate you will be eligible to win a RAK at the end of June.
