7th Edition!

Welcome to the 7th Edition of the Canadian Scrapbookers Blog Carnival. I am so excited! We have a very busy trip this week, with first time invitations to visit with six scrappers and two businesses, as well as six return visits. Let's get started!

Our one and only stop in British Columbia this time is to visit with Izzy as she tells us about all the different things around her that she uses for inspiration when working on Finding the Right Colors for her layouts.

Next we're off to Alberta where we have two invitations to visit.

This is our first invitation to visit with Kali as she tells us how she made her own ribbon hanger for $6 in about an hour and she shares with us her Ribbon hanger instructions.

We'll pop in for a visit with Chris before we leave as she says "I have tried a variety of faux techniques in the last little while - faux denim, faux metal, faux linen, faux mother of pearl, and recently faux wood. I just got this great set of stamps from Doodle Factory called Fairy Tale & in this set is a cute little knight in shining armour. I wanted a faux ARMOUR technique but couldn't find one anywhere so I made up my own!!!', then she as she shows us her Knight in Shining Armour!! and tells us how she did it.

Next we head to our one invitation in Saskatchewan this time around. We stop in to visit with Sheryl as she tells us she couldn't sleep so she created a New Card and incorporated some neat techniques, like inking a white sheer ribbon.

Our one and only invitation to visit in Manitoba this time around is with Denise as she shares a layout titled B is for Boy and tells us "It's a pg about my youngest and the one who keeps me on my toes. He never stops until he sleeps & I guess neither do I!"

Ontario is our next destintation and we'll be here a little while as we have five stops to make!

First we'll pop in for a visit with Heidi as she tells us she has Beads Galore!! and shows us two cards she made and enhanced with beads. She also links to a tutorial for a neat technique.

Next we'll drop in on Jennifer as she tells us she is re-stocked on ScribblzArt designs so she's decided to have a Blog CANDY Giveaway!. Here's what she said in her email "One of my favourite products to use on scrapbook pages are Skribblz designs. I love how versitile they are as they can be used on any LO. I sometimes use them straight onto a page, while other times I will mount them on cardstock and cut around them so i can make them 3-D. I love them so much I want to share them with you, so check out my blog and play along to WIN some BLOG CANDY"

This is our first invitation to visit with Linda and she shares a great Double Pocket Card Video Tutorial. These are so easy to make and so neat.

Allison has also invited us for a first visit as she is Introducing... her new business venture. Her's what she said in her email, "The So Sketchy! Subscriber is a monthly booklet filled with never before seen card and scrapbook page sketches, colourful inspiration, tips and tricks to using sketches and a special contest especially for So Sketchy! Subscriber members. This booklet comes straight to your mail box so you don't have anything to print. Simply hole punch it and place it in a 8.5x11 binder for easy reference. Subscriptions are available for Canadian, U.S. and International addresses. You have a choice of a single month edition or a 3 month subscription. Come and check us out!"

This is also our first invitation to visit with Christine as she demonstrates some simple techniques for altering Clear Embellishments. The neat thing about Christine's blog is that it is "An internet video show for the scrapbooking community. See new techniques, altered projects, products and tools...". Be sure to check it out!

Next up we have our first time ever invitations to visit with scrappers in New Brunswick, and we got invited to visit with two, and also to check out one scrapping community!

First we'll stop in for our first visit with Noella as she offers a big Welcome!! to her brand new sketch blog, where she's already posted some great sketches.

Our next stop is to visit with Kristine for the first time as she says Howdy!!! and shows us some of her layouts, including one that was published in the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine.
Before we go Kristine invites us to check out her Creative Scrappers Blog and online community. She shouts a big Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! as she introduces the DT members. She also sent this invitation: "Come and get Creative with tons of Scrappers from around the globe! We are a blog based on creativity and inspiration with sketches. Hosting weekly challenges with a fantastic team of designers to show you new ways to interpret sketches! A New sketch is introduced on Sundays so come visit us and get tons of inspiration to spark your creativity! You can also view our members gallery and also chat with fellow scrappers on our forum. Come and get creative with us! Questions or Comments contact Kristine Davidson at Info@Creative-Scrappers.com "

It's off to Newfoundland for our last two visits, one first time and one repeat.

First we'll visit with Deanne as she shows us her JUNE 1st Sketches, a layout and a card sketch, and shows what her DT did with the sketches.

Our last stop is our first visit with Carla as she shares cards she and her 11yo daughter made during one of their many Mother/Daughter scrapping sessions.

And that's the end of this week's trip across our country as we visited with scrappers along the way. Thank you to each of you for the invitations to visit. I hope you will invite us again. Thanks also to each of you that came along for the trip. Make sure you take a moment to let our hosts know that you appreciated the invitation to visit with them by leaving a comment on their blogs.

Please continue to help spread the word about the carnival. Add a carnival widget or blinkie to your blog. Post about the carnival in your scrapbooking forums and email groups. Tell all your friends. I'd especially like some help in finding some Quebec and Nova Scotia scrappers as we haven't yet been invited to visit with scrappers in either province.

I will be posting the call for the next edition tomorrow so be sure to check back, and get your submissions in as soon as you can so that you don't forget! :)
