5th Edition of the Canadian Scrapbookers Blog Carnival

Welcome! Let's begin our trip around the country, stopping in to visit with Scrappers along the way.

We're going to start this trip in British Columbia as we stop in to visit with Melissa. She recently realized that scrapbooking objects was okay, and even a great way to pass on a bit of family history. She shares a great layout she did of This Car... .

Next we're off to Alberta to visit with Chris as she shows us her Scene Cards - a couple of gorgeous cards featuring oh so cute stamps by High Hopes Rubber Stamps, a Canadian Stamp Company that I'd never heard of before. Here's what Chris had to say in her email "It features cards from my favourite Canadian stamp company "High Hopes Rubber Stamps". The owner, Tina Marie, is fabulous and so very kind!! Truly depicts what most Canadians are like!!!"

Up next is Sheryl in Saskatchewan and she's having fun Playing with Basic Grey Sugared Line and cutting up pictures for her layouts. Looks really neat!

Crossing the border in Manitoba we have a first invitation to visit with Denise. She says she's a newbie to both scrapping and blogging but as you'll see she's doing a great job with both. She shows us her daughter's Monday Curls in a layout she redid 3 times. I don't know what the other 3 times looked like but I really like the final product.

Next up we stop in on Jennifer in Ontario as she exclaims "Man I think I am in Love as she sings the praises of her favorite Canadian Kit Club, Justcre8, who's latest kit included product from Canadian Company SkribblzArt. Some great Canadian companies there!

After a long trip over some provinces where we didn't have invitations to visit this time, our last stop is with Deanne in Newfoundland as she shares her Sketches for May 15, a layout sketch and a card sketch she created, and offers a chance for a RAK if you give them a try. Her DT did a great job with the sketches! She's also offering a RAK for the person who guesses the date she reaches her 2008 scrapping goal. She's already about 3/4 of the way there and the year isn't even half over!

Thanks to all of you for the invitations to visit with you, and thanks for all of you that came along for the trip. It sure would be encouraging if you took a moment to leave a comment and tell us what you thought of the trip, and if you took the time to leave a comment at each of the places we were invited to.

Thanks to those of you that are promoting the blog. Please continue to do so.

Tomorrow I will be posting a call for the next edition which will be posted May 29.
