6th Edition of the Canadian Scrapbookers Blog Carnival

Welcome to the 6th edition of the Canadian Scrappers Blog Carnival! Even though we only got invitations to visit scrappers in 4 provinces this time, we have a very busy trip with lots of great visits planned, including visits with 4 new bloggers and 2 businesses to check out.

Let's start in British Columbia, where we have invitations to visit with two newcomers to the carnival and one repeat invitation.

First of all we'll check in with Izzy, one of the newcomers, as she shows us a couple of layouts plus an acrylic album made in memory of someone special in their life. I especially love the design of the first layout.

Next we'll stop at and visit another new comer, Wendy, as she shows us some wonderful digital templates and kits she created and suggests that "ScrapbookMax!" is the perfect program for anyone wanting to dabble with digital.

Off we go now to visit with Melissa as she shows us Where it happens.... Her scrappin' space includes an old computer desk and baskets.

Next we're off to Alberta to visit with newcomer, Jayme, as she tells us about A Little Goodness in the Mail that she received recently in the form of the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine, and she boasts about the fact that it is "Canadian through and through". Gotta love that!

While we're here, Jayme invites us to drop by and check out Scrapbooking Fanatics an online store and community that Jayme owns. She invites you all to "Join us at Scrapbooking Fanatics, where inspiration is everywhere! You'll find a store stocked with the latest and greatest scrappy items with a management that welcomes special requests. Every month a new limited edition kit is released that always has hot new products and Canadian content! The forum features lots of tips, inspiration and a chance to chat with others who share your passion for scrapbooking. Join us for our weekend crops that have lots of challenges, chit-chat and prizes every two weeks. The design team is the best, and members are offered a chance to participate as guest designers. And of course, the gallery is filled with amazing scrapbook art. We'll see you there!"

Next we're off to Manitoba where we'll stop in a visit with Cindy again as she shares with us about a recent surfin' saturday when she found a blog full of organizational ideas. She also shares lots of pictures of her newly organized Scrap space.

While we're here, Cindy invites us to check out her business, A Unique Flair - Scrapbooking Services and Classes, where she teaches classes in her studio space and creates custom scrapbooks and "eventful" frames for clients. She says "My Blog: Say it with Flair, is my interactive space on the web for me & my clients. I post my monthly newsletters, challenges, weekday thoughts, & constant inspiration for scrapbooking & other crafts."

Next we're off to Ontario where we have two repeat invitations to visit, a new invitation and an invitation to check out a business.

This is our first invitation to visit with Brenda as she shares with us some Album Ideas and offers great suggestions on creating a cookbook that would become a wonderful keepsake of family traditions.

Next we'll drop in on Deanna while she exclaims Vicki Boutin Rocks and proceeds to tell us about a class she took recently with Vicki Boutin at Scrapping Turtle.

Next up Jen invited us to drop in at Creative Crafts and Stickers and check out Ally's Tutorial Thursday ~ Make Your Own Patterned Paper. This is so cool! Ally even shows us a card she made with paper she made. Check it out!

And last but not least, Katrina, a newcomer to the carnival, invites us to checkout out Skribblz Art as she tells us "I am the owner of Skribblz Art, a Canadian company that is new to the Scrapbooking industry. My company creates self-adhesive interior typography featuring custom-designed quotes and interior accents. Last year, I branched into scrapbooking because of my passion for this craft! I create innovative titIes and graphics and now have 3 collections and am working on a fouth. I retail across Canada, but my online store is coming soon! I have been featured both in Canadian Scrapbooker and on ScrapTime." Make sure you check it out!

And that ends the 6th edition of the Canadian Scrapbookers Blog Carnival. Thank you to each of you for the invitations to visit. I hope you will invite us again. Thanks also to each of you that came along for the trip. Make sure you take a moment to let our hosts know that you appreciated the invitation to visit with them by leaving a comment on their blogs.

While I was disappointed that we only got invitations to visit in 4 of the provinces this time around, I was delighted with the number of invitations. If your province wasn't represented in this edition I challenge you to make sure that doesn't happen for the next edition - send in your submissions!

I will be posting the call for the next edition tomorrow so be sure to check back, and get your submissions in as soon as you can so that you don't forget! :)
